Full description
Fuchsia embroidered textile fabric picture which would make a great gift for a gardener. The picture is of a pale pink and mauve fuchsia in full bloom. It has been made using hand embroidery stitches and as with some of my other work the many techniques used to create this decorative surface make it very difficult to describe.
The framed textile picture has been made using several techniques which comprise:-
The flowers and leaves have been hand drawn and coloured with water soluble pencils and paint and applied.
The background of handmade felt is mainly cream but has very delicate pieces of pale green and pink fiber included.
Various hand stitches and threads have been used to decorate the fabrics and felt.
The work is pale pink, pale mauve and light green colour.
The final textile has been mounted onto a fine hand made paper.
The frame is light wood and measures 11 x 11 inches square and is 1 inch wide. The embroidery in the centre measures aprox 6 x 6 inches square.
The work is unglazed.
This item has been designed and stitched by me and made in a non-smoking and pet free home.
