This is an original acrylic painting of an upland moorland landscape. Inspired by the Dark Peak area of the Peak District in Derbyshire on the fringes of Sheffield. There is (of course), a lovely gritstone escarpment looming moodily in the background. This area is world-renowned with climbers for it's gritstone edges including Burbage and Stanage, which are very popular for climbing and bouldering.
