Full description
Hand thrown cheese dish glazed in vanilla cream. Handmade Stoneware Pottery by littlewrenpottery on Folksy.
Hand thrown on my potters wheel this large cheese dish features a grooved plate, round cheese dome and a grooved loop handle for lifting the lid. Textural throwing rings still remain on the piece and a matt cream glaze gives a stoney coloured finish.
Designed to be both functional and decorative this little dish will store small edam and brie rounds in your fridge. It could also be used to hold garlic and keep it away from other items to stop it's fragrance tainting the taste of other foods. Both the plate and the dome have been made out of slightly different stoneware clay bodies giving them a slightly different texture and colour.
It's flat bottom will sit firmly on your table and it has been hand stamped with the Little Wren Pottery seal marking it out as a handcrafted piece.
This cheese dish can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
- The plate is 8.0 inches (20.5 cm) in diameter and 1.9 inches (5 cm) in height
- The domed lid is 6.8 inches (17.5 cm) in diameter and 4.3 inches (11 cm) in height
As much as I love our furry friends this piece was created in a pet free and smoke free studio.
