I made a small flock of these birds a while ago and I have been slowly incorporating them into pieces as the mood takes me! This one was inspired by my cherry tree, which is only a baby but gave us 3 cherries this year. The birds are my experiments into fusing recycled glass and the leaves are painted by covering the glass with paint and then scrapping off some of the paint to reveal the colour of the glass beneath.

Full description
This great little panel uses several techniques. The white bird was made from small pieces of glass fused together in my kiln and the tree it sits in has green painted leaves and red painted cherries. These have also been heated in the kiln so that the paint becomes one with the glass.The whole piece is leaded together using traditional techniques and is signed.
This panel is full of detail and interest and looks fabulous leaning or hanging in a sunny window
