I only had a small length of the floral panel but wanted to make a bag. I found some pale blue material I think complements the honeysuckle and dog rose floral panel nicely. Having compiled the bag I thought it needed a simple embroidery outling stitch and buttons to help bring it all together. When I look at the bag it reminds me of the honeysuckle and roses growing in my rambling hedge.

Full description
A small tote style bag. The centre panel fabric is a floral print from the Country Diary Collection called Honeysuckle and Dog Rose. I have surrounded the centre panel with pale plain blue cotton which I’ve over sewn in a shiny rayon thread in chain stitch. I‘ve used the same hand stitched chain stitch to detail the top of the bag along with four large wooden buttons. I have lined the bag in a yellow cotton and polyester material.
The bag is completely hand sewn through out, so I hung the bag up over night with a large heavy book inside to test its’ strength.
The handles are designed to be held in the hand.
