I love to work with a mixture of glass and ceramic tiles as I feel it gives a more textured feel and finish. The echinacea is such a beautiful flower which seems to somehow depict hope in my eyes. It's part of series of flowers I try to mosaic and I'm always striving to capture something of their beauty in my moasics. I hope you'll agree that I do.

Full description
An uplifting image depicting the gentle petals of the echinacea folding back as the colourful head attempts to reach for the springtime sky.
I made it with a mixture of ceramic, glass and textured tiles, with small circular millefiori acting as the head. The petals are a soft ceramic with the background being a lively speckled bright green. I took various photos with and without flash in an attempt to show just how pretty the mosaic catches the light.
It measures 20.2cm x 25.4cm (or 10 x 8 inches) framed and ready to hang onto someones wall.
