I love retro styling, and particularly the glamorous 1930s-1950s. I started making these after attending a hair and makeup workshop run by the Lipstick and Curls girls and realising my hair is too fine for victory rolls so a snood would give the effect even if my hair wasn't up to the job! Unfortunately no-one sells good ones, most sellers make them too slouchy so I started making them myself.

Full description

Keep your gorgeous 1940's curls and waves in perfect shape by wearing this snood on windy days, to sleep in or to give your outfit an extra retro touch. My snoods are more authentic than most other sellers make, mine are a gathered net whereas most people make a slouchy bag hat which does not give the lovely neat vintage look you want.

Available in three sizes:

Long - below shoulder length

Mid-length - shoulder length

Short - bob/above the shoulder hair

I crocheted this snood after being inspired by a 1940's hair and make-up workshop I attended and now make these during my commute to work. It's made from super-durable acrylic yarn so can be flung in the washing machine without a care.

Please contact me if you would like to request a custom colour.

You keep it in place with hair grips
